COVID Precautions

Your health is our first priority! The following precautions have been put in place to assure your safety:

  • HEPA Medical Grade air filtration systems.

  • Leave the outer door open to increase airflow through our facility.

  • Installation of physical barriers (e.g., glass or plastic windows) at reception areas to limit close contact between personnel and patients.

  • Removal of toys, magazines, and all high touch objects from the waiting room that cannot be regularly cleaned & frequently disinfect surfaces being touched.

  • Ensure that everyone has their own face covering (as it is mandatory by state law), or provide a face covering if a patient does not have one. We make sure that everyone entering the dental healthcare facility is being screened for fever and symptoms consistent with COVID-19 or exposure to others with SARS-CoV02 infection.

  • Document absence of symptoms consistent with COVID-19.

  • Take patient temperatures upon entering the office. Fever is either measured temperature ≥100.0°F or subjective fever.

  • Ask patients if they have been advised to self-quarantine because of exposure to someone with SARS-CoV-2 infection.

  • Patients may opt to wait in a personal vehicle or outside the dental facility where they can be contacted by a mobile phone when it is their turn for dental care, we now call this our virtual waiting room.

  • Limit visitors to the facility to those essential for the patient’s physical or emotional well-being and care (e.g., care partner, parent).

  • Practice social distancing.

  • As always, constant hand washing and fresh gloves between patients.
